We can’t thank Andrew and the team at Drewaire constructions enough, we have just moved into our dream home, it is everything we had hoped for and more. The attention to detail and craftsmanship that the team has delivered for us is second to none, every trade on the job worked hard to deliver a quality product, the home is just so wonderful to live in, it’s cosy, has amazing inclusions and it is clear that every detail has been thought through and delivered to the highest standard.

From the moment we met Andrew, we knew he was the right builder for our renovation. He understood the building, our vision to maintain character without creating a twee replica and was willing to work with our ideas.
It was clear he was a master craftsman with exacting standards and attention to detail. Throughout the build, Andrew planned around keeping us in the house (even though at times that meant changing his work flow), kept us up-to-date with plans and progress and consulted on decisions to achieve the right outcome for us.

We chose Drewaire for our renovation and extension project. This was our first experience with renovating. We also knew it was likely our older home would throw up some challenges throughout the build. Certain ideas and principles were part of the very early stages of planning for this project: others came about collaboratively, or were Andrew’s contribution, either in terms of materials, finish or often highly pragmatic solutions. Even though one or two came very close to the end, this was never an issue!

We highly recommend Drewaire Construction, they built a large extension onto the back of our house in Ainslie. Andrew Foster was quick to point our technical difficulties and inaccuracies in the architectural plan for our extension and he was extremely helpful in providing solutions that not only over came these problems but vastly improved the functionality of the space.

Andrew from Drewaire completed 3 separate major works for our family. A solar passive extension, a bathroom renovation, and a kitchen renovation. Andrew worked closely with us to make sure he delivered what we wanted. He listened, offered suggestions, completed the work, and made budget.

The decision to contract Andrew Foster to build our house proved to be a good one. There are several reasons, but two spring to mind. Firstly, Andrew takes pride in his work, paying great attention to detail. This was evident during the building process and in the quality of the work that has resulted. It was evident when instances arose where plans on paper didn’t translate perfectly in practice. Andrew thought through possible solutions, and talked these through with us, seeking our input.

Drewaire Constructions did an excellent job on renovating my home at 11 Stutchbury Street, Page in 2007. The quote was the best and most affordable and Andrew estimated 6 months to completion. It was actually completed in 5 months and the end result was turning a tired 3 brm ex govt home into a 5 brm, 2 bathroom home. The house was everything I had wanted and became very functional.

We were told if you can get Andrew to do your renovation / extension, you will have a builder who takes ownership and pride in everything he does and will only deliver quality work. How true this is, we have just been handed the keys to our home. It was a very old weather board cottage. With guidance from Andrew and Drewaire’s designer, our house plan was developed. Andrew had great ideas and helped us solve issues when needed. Andrew is so easy to talk to and always made time for us to ask questions. Drewaire’s trades people were friendly, efficient and professional.

I planned a complete renovation of the core of a house in Red Hill, an old ‘govie’ already subject to an earlier and now very tired renovation. The project involved a new entry, replacing the kitchen and a bathroom, creating a library/study and installing nearly 100 square metres of oak parquet floor.

I had never done anything like this before and went through the selection of a builder very carefully. Drewaire stood out. The quote was reasonable. Andrew impressed as thoughtful and hands on and a person with high standards. A visit to one of his projects showed me the good relationships he had with his team and his care for detail.

We have been through four major extensions/refurbishments in various houses. Our latest refurbishment with Drewaire Constructions has delivered extremely good results for us and we are very happy with Andrew and his team. Apart from additional building we also demolished internal walls and for maximum disruption the whole of the existing house was double glazed.

We live in a house that Andrew Foster built and it is perfect. Andrew’s attention to detail, his understanding of pleasing design and his willingness to talk through ideas, options and solutions to problems, not that there were any signifigant problems with our home, has meant that we have the home we really wanted, one that we never want to leave.
